About

Advising on technology means understanding it, not just describing it.

Iveta Yuskeselieva

I am a technology lawyer with fifteen years spent at the intersection of technology and commercial law. My work began on the procurement side at IBM, where I led supplier integration across fourteen acquisitions throughout EMEA, and moved to the legal side: advising on IT agreements, corporate governance, and M&A for companies operating across Europe.

I write about the legal risks that sit beneath technology decisions: open-source licensing, AI regulation, cybersecurity liability, and the gap between what companies assume about their software dependencies and what the law actually requires. My Beyond the Source Code series examines how these risks interact across jurisdictions.

I am certified in cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure, because the fastest way to lose a technology client's confidence is to misunderstand the thing you are advising on.

I have negotiated from both sides of the table.

The perspective is different when you have sat across from yourself.
